Genie Launch

A guide to using and adding information about your campaign to the the genie launch landing page theme.

The Genie theme landing page template allows you to create a quick campaign or launch landing page with a snapshot of your experience and to start collecting e-mail sign-ups (connected directly to your database manager e.g mailchimp list) ahead of your experience going on sale.

You can access the landing page in the genie theme in your website editor straight from your dashboard by going to My Site > Pages > Landing Page and then clicking into your Landing Page block below.

Below you can see the ways you can edit and set up your landing page.

Images, Logos and Styles

The Genie Landing page allows you to customize your landing page logo, background colour, font colour and background image. Below you can see where to edit these elements and where they correspond to on the front end of your landing page.

The fonts on your landing page will pull thorugh the Site Styles configured on your dashboard. To see how you can change and upload fonts please see the Help Article here.

Landing Page Front End

  1. Hide nav and footer: The checkbox allows you to hide your top navigation bar and footer from the landing page. Note - As the Landing page is ordinarily the first page you will create on your website and to drive users to sign up as the main Call to Action the nav and footer will be hidden as default on Genie.

  2. Logo: Add your brand/company logo and this is what will appear in the top left of the landing page.

  3. Background Colour: Add your Hex code into the entry box and this colour will appear in the background on the left-hand side of the landing page. (Note: your Hex code will be displayed as a hashtag with then a series of numbers and/or letters eg. the Hex code for white is #FFFFFF)

  4. Font Colour: Add your Hex code into the entry box and this colour will be used for all the text on your landing page except for your sign up button text which you can customise individually if you would prefer.

  5. Background Image: The background image will appear behind the signup box on the right-hand side of the landing page. Recommended image size 720px x 920px

Text section (Left)

The left-hand side of the Genie Landing page theme is where you can enter text to introduce your experience and give your users a snapshot of what it is about as well as when and where it is happening.

  1. Subtitle Left: Typically used to display where the experience would take place

  2. Subtitle Right: Typically used to display when the experience will take place

  3. Header: Typically used for your experience name or headline text

  4. Intro Text: Typically used to give a bit more detail about your experience

  5. Facebook Link: Icon will link out to your Facebook page (Icon will not appear if you don’t enter a link.)

  6. Twitter Link: Icon will link out to your Twitter page (Icon will not appear if you don’t enter a link.)

  7. Instagram Link: Icon will link out to your Instagram page (Icon will not appear if you don’t enter a link.

Sign Up Section (right)

The right-hand side of the Genie landing page theme is where your sign up form is located and the text and colour of the sign up box can be edited and also linked up to your Mailchimp account instantly.

  1. Form Header

  2. Form Intro: Provide a bit more information and explain what they will receive by signing up. Ensure to provide incentive and offer value for signing up here.

  3. Mailchimp Form Action: Genie will always have the email address field input in as standard on the sign up form. To access your Mailchimp List Id please see the Help Article here and then simply copy and paste that link into the text box. (Note: If you use a different tool to Mailchimp please get in touch with us via the Help Centre and we can help you get that all set up.)

  4. Show first name last name fields: By ticking this checkbox you can also get users to fill out their first and last names on the sign up form. (Note: This will be unchecked as default and we recommend unless you do need first and last names at this stage to leave the sign up as email only as fewer fields on average leads to higher sign up numbers)

  5. Sign up button text: This is the text that will appear on your sign up button.

  6. Sign up button background colour: Add your Hex Code into the the entry box and this will change the colour of your sign up button.

  7. Sign up button text colour: Add your Hex Code into the the entry box and this will change the colour of the sign up button text.

How to make the Landing Page your Homepage

You can make the Genie Landing page the ‘Homepage’ on your website directly from your dashboard. Go to My Site > Pages > Landing Page > and then select ‘Make Homepage’ in the top right.

How to edit the Favicon on the Landing Page

Your favicon logo is what will appear in the search bar in the tab alongside the URL browser on your product page.
